At Car Beyond Store I worked inside an active design, warehouse, and manufacturing environment that served repeatable automotive catalog products and daily customer orders. The job was hands-on production execution across more than two years—not plant management or isolated demos.
Digital artwork did not stop at the screen. Files moved into printers, vinyl cutters, heat transfer, assembly, inspection, packaging, and shipping preparation. My role centered on execution: opening and printing prepared artwork, running production equipment, checking results, assembling and packing finished goods, and moving orders toward the customer.
Print, Vinyl, and Decals
UV printing put automotive graphics onto keychains and related small goods. Large decals ran on a Roland VersaSTUDIO BN-20 through Roland VersaWorks, where alignment and production settings had to match the job before ink hit the media.
Vinyl work included cutting, weeding, and heat-transfer application onto automotive sun shades. Photoshop was the everyday print-execution surface for opening prepared files and sending work to the correct device. Batch Production and Setup
Orders arrived as made-to-order Amazon production rather than one-off showpieces. That meant batching jobs, matching the file to the process, verifying setup, and inspecting output before anything moved into assembly or packaging.
A layout could be technically correct on screen and still fail on the floor if registration was off, material shifted, or the wrong backing or instructions followed the part. Production habits had to survive contact with real blanks, cutters, and presses.
Assembly and Quality Control
Many products did not end at a single print or cut. Parts moved into multi-step assemblies—sometimes combining printed or sublimated plates with laser-cut acrylic components—then into inspection before packaging.
Quality control covered what you could see immediately and what had to match the order: orientation, alignment, surface condition, and whether the finished piece belonged with the correct paperwork and packaging.
Packaging and Fulfillment
After manufacturing and QC, I continued the same physical production chain into finished-product preparation and shipping. That was not a separate office logistics role; it was the last stage of getting merchandise out the door.
For license plates and hitch covers, that included matching finished pieces to the correct paper backing and instructions, applying the appropriate official product or license stickers, placing items into protective plastic, sealing packaging with a heat-seal bar, and using a heat gun to shrink-wrap finished products. Completed items were staged for shipping. When needed I assisted the shipping area: packing boxes with bubble wrap, sealing and wrapping boxes, applying shipping labels, and bagging products where that packaging method fit.
The full path ran digital preparation → printing / laser / sublimation → assembly → inspection → labeling → retail packaging → shrink wrapping → shipping preparation → customer fulfillment. I worked that path from source artwork and raw material through packaged merchandise ready to leave the facility.
